S. B. Withey House

The S. B. Withey House, located at 10 Appian Way in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a notable example of Greek Revival architecture. Built around 1855-56, this historic 3+1⁄2-story wood-frame house features a distinctive front-facing gable roof and elegant clapboard siding. Its entrance, set in a recessed bay, is adorned with pilasters and a Tudor arch, showcasing the craftsmanship of its time. As one of the few remaining residential structures in the Harvard Square area at its original site, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in American architectural history.
