Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception - mosaic program

The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is the largest Roman Catholic church in North America and serves as a national shrine dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Construction began in 1920 and progressed over several decades, with major work completing in the 1950s and the Great Upper Church dedicated in 1959.
