The Menil Collection (Surreal and outsider art holdings)

The Menil Collection, established by John and Dominique de Menil, is a free art museum in Houston that opened in 1987. Its holdings include significant Surrealist and modern works by artists such as René Magritte and Max Ernst. The Menil campus also houses collections of outsider and visionary art noted for their enigmatic, dreamlike imagery.
