Nisg̱aʼa Museum

The Nisg̱aʼa Museum, located in Lax̱g̱altsʼap, British Columbia, is a vibrant cultural hub dedicated to the Nisg̱aʼa people. Opened in 2011, the museum showcases a rich collection of over 330 artifacts that highlight the history and traditions of the Nisg̱aʼa, including ceremonial masks, shamanic tools, and daily life items. Visitors can explore four distinct galleries, each offering insights into different aspects of Nisg̱aʼa culture. The museum's architecture reflects traditional forms, resembling a feast bowl and longhouse, and features the only Class A climate-controlled gallery in the region. Notably, the museum recently welcomed back the Ni'isjoohl totem pole, a significant cultural artifact.
