Daniel Smith Donelson House

The Daniel Smith Donelson House, also known as Eventide, is a historic home located in Hendersonville, Tennessee, built around 1830 for Daniel Smith Donelson, a relative of President Andrew Jackson. This Federal-style house served as the family residence for Donelson and his 11 children until 1857. Notably, Donelson was a major general in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. The house remained in the Donelson family until 1979 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history.
