Men's Gymnasium Building (Baku)

The Men's Gymnasium Building, constructed between 1911 and 1913 in Baku, Azerbaijan, was designed by architect Konstantin Borisoglebsky. Originally serving as an educational institution named after Emperor Alexander III, it was the second largest school in the city after the Baku Real School. The building features a striking façade with classical architectural elements, including a grand portico and Ionic columns, showcasing opulence and luxury. After its use as City Hospital No. 4 post-Soviet occupation, the building became unused in 2018. As one of the few remaining examples of pre-Soviet educational architecture, it stands as an important architectural monument in Baku, located at the intersection of Fuzuli and S. Vurgun Streets.
