Brentmoor

Brentmoor, also known as the Spilman-Mosby House, is a historic Italianate-style home located in Warrenton, Virginia. Built in 1859, it was initially the residence of Judge Edward M. Spilman before being purchased by Confederate leader John Singleton Mosby in 1875. The house features distinctive architectural elements, including a central bay with a tri-part window and a single-story porch supported by bracketed columns. Brentmoor was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and has served various purposes, including a museum. Currently undergoing renovations, it promises to be an intriguing site for tourists and researchers interested in Civil War history and 19th-century architecture.
