Cherry Bank

Cherry Bank, also known as the Dr. A. L. Ankeny House, is a historic Italianate residence located in Clinton, Iowa, built in 1871. Originally intended for Dennis Warren's nephew, it was purchased by Dr. Ankeny, who became its first resident. The two-story red brick structure features distinctive buff-colored brick accents, a cornice, a hipped roof, and a widow's walk. Although the original front porch was removed in the 1920s, the house remains a notable example of 19th-century architecture and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
