Church Missions House

The Church Missions House, located at 281 Park Avenue South in Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood, is a historic building known for its medieval-inspired architecture. Designed by Robert W. Gibson and Edward J. Neville Stent between 1892 and 1894, it served as the headquarters for the Episcopal Church's Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society for much of the 20th century. The building features a striking facade made of granite and Indiana Limestone, with intricate details reminiscent of medieval town halls. Designated a landmark in 1979 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, the Church Missions House is part of the historic 'Charity Row' area, surrounded by other notable charitable institutions.
