Cushing American Legion Building

The Cushing American Legion Building, located in Cushing, Oklahoma, was established in 1924 as a gathering place for World War I veterans of American Legion Post 108. This historic Mission Revival structure featured distinctive architectural elements such as a raised parapet and a colonnade of square columns. The building served as a hub for social events and commemorative observances, including Armistice Day and Memorial Day, and later welcomed World War II veterans. Although it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003, the building was unfortunately demolished in 2017 following severe damage from a 5.0 magnitude earthquake.
