Prospect House (Waltham, Massachusetts)

The Prospect House, located at 11 Hammond Street in Waltham, Massachusetts, is a historic Greek Revival building constructed in 1839. Originally serving as a hotel and tavern, it is one of the few remaining 19th-century hotel structures in the city. The building features impressive architectural elements, including four two-story fluted Doric columns and a pedimented gable, along with a second-story porch. Now functioning as an apartment house, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, making it a noteworthy site for both tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
