Bowen River Hotel

The Bowen River Hotel, a heritage-listed site in Queensland, Australia, was established around 1865 and is also known as Heidelberg Inn. Located on the historic supply route to Central Western Queensland, it showcases unique bush carpentry techniques and is one of the few surviving country hotels of its kind. The hotel features two connected buildings with a distinctive verandah and is surrounded by a picturesque rural landscape. After years of neglect, it was renovated and reopened in 2003, continuing to operate as a hotel today. The site is significant for its connection to the pastoral development of the Kennedy Region and is listed on the Queensland Heritage Register.
