Centro Asturiano de Tampa

The Centro Asturiano de Tampa, located in Ybor City, Florida, is a historic social club established for immigrants from Asturias, Spain. Designed by architect M. Leo Elliott, the building has served various functions since its opening in 1914, including a hospital and health insurance provider for its members. Although the hospital closed in 1990, the club continues to preserve its rich history and offers social activities. The site is also home to two cemeteries, including the notable Centro Asturiano Memorial Park, which honors veterans and community leaders. The Centro Asturiano is a testament to the cultural heritage of the Spanish immigrant community in Tampa and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
