National Capitol Columns at U.S. National Arboretum

The National Capitol Columns are a freestanding installation of 22 Corinthian columns and a capital originally carved for the U.S. Capitol; they are installed as an architectural focal feature at the U.S. National Arboretum. The columns are sited on a raised lawn and are accompanied by an associated planting and walkway that frame the columns as a formal garden installation. The Arboretum interprets the columns as examples of reused federal architectural elements in a landscape setting.
