Forbes Hall

Forbes Hall is a residence hall at the University of Pittsburgh, located in a six-story building known as Forbes Pavilion. Originally constructed as a nursing home in 1964, it was repurposed for student housing in 1978. The hall accommodates 232 first-year students in air-conditioned double rooms, featuring amenities like communal showers, kitchenettes, and study rooms. Notable for its recreation hall and rooftop patio, Forbes Hall also has historical significance, having been the site of student observation during the 2009 G-20 summit protests. The hall has housed various academic programs, including the 'SPACE' program for engineering students. It is rumored that NFL star Dan Marino lived here during his college years, making it a point of interest for fans and visitors alike.
