Jeremiah Service House

The Jeremiah H. Service House, also known as Old Republic, is a historic Italianate-style home located in New Carlisle, Indiana. Built between 1860 and 1861, this two-story brick dwelling features a charming full-width front porch, distinctive paired scroll-sawn brackets, and a unique central cupola topped with a Turkish-style onion dome. The property also includes an ice house and smokehouse, adding to its historical significance. Recognized for its architectural and historical value, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
