Șari-Neni was a renowned brothel in the Elisabetin district of Timișoara, Romania, during the interwar period, known for its luxurious atmosphere and exceptional service. Operated by Charlotta Földessy, it resembled a chic restaurant where clients could enjoy fine dining and select companions from professional photographs. Prostitution was legal at the time, and the establishment catered to a clientele that appreciated both elegance and intimacy. After the communist regime outlawed prostitution, the brothel closed, later transforming into a buffet and then a restaurant called Intim. Today, the building stands in disrepair, reflecting a fascinating chapter of Timișoara's social history that may intrigue both tourists and researchers.
