Nyíregyháza New Synagogue

The Nyíregyháza New Synagogue, completed in 1932 and designed by architect Lipót Baumhorn, is a stunning example of eclectic Art Deco architecture located in Nyíregyháza, Hungary. Originally founded by Neolog Jews in 1865, the synagogue now serves an Orthodox Jewish congregation. With a seating capacity of 410 males and 286 females, it features a unique interior design, including a gallery for women's seating and intricate motifs such as a beautifully inscribed eastern wall and ornate circular windows. The synagogue is an active place of worship and a significant cultural landmark in the region, reflecting the rich history of the Jewish community in Hungary.
