Kubota Garden

Kubota Garden is a 20-acre Japanese-inspired garden in the Rainier Beach neighborhood created by Fujitaro Kubota beginning in 1927 and developed over subsequent decades. The property was donated to the City of Seattle in 1987 and is managed by Seattle Parks and Recreation with volunteer support. The site features ponds, waterfalls, native Pacific Northwest plantings, and traditional Japanese garden design elements and is open to the public year-round.
