Philadelphia Zoo

Philadelphia Zoo opened in 1874 and is one of the oldest zoos in the United States. The zoo houses approximately 1,300 animals representing several hundred species and participates in conservation and breeding programs. Notable features include Zoo360, an overhead network of animal travel ways that allow some animals to roam across multiple exhibits. The zoo's campus sits along the Schuylkill River in West Philadelphia.
