Fitchburg Yarn Mill

The Fitchburg Yarn Mill, located at 1428 Main Street in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, is a historic textile mill built in 1907. Once one of the city's largest industrial operations, it showcases the work of renowned architect Frank Sheldon. The impressive three-story red brick structure, measuring 500 feet in length, features distinctive segmented-arch windows and a round brick chimney. After ceasing operations around 1970, the mill has been repurposed for multi-family residential use. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in industrial history.
