David M. and Lottie Fulmer House

The David M. and Lottie Fulmer House, located in the Town of Florence, Wisconsin, is a historic site with rich ties to the lumber industry and notable figures in local history. Originally home to David M. Fulmer, a key player in the lumber sector, and his wife Lottie, the house later became the residence of Max Sells, a prominent bank president and District Attorney. After Sells' passing, his wife Nellie and their daughter Verle E. Fulmer, the first woman elected as a circuit court judge in Wisconsin, continued to live there. Today, the house operates as Maxsell's restaurant and has been recognized for its historical significance, being listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places.
