Buffalo Bill Boyhood Home

The Buffalo Bill Boyhood Home, originally built in 1841 in LeClaire, Iowa, is a historic house that was moved to Cody, Wyoming in 1933 to attract tourists traveling to Yellowstone National Park. This two-story frame house, which is the oldest structure in Cody and possibly the oldest in Wyoming, features two rooms on each floor and was constructed using sawn lumber and hand-hewn timbers. After serving as a tourist attraction for many years, it was relocated to the Buffalo Bill Museum and later to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in 1969. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, making it a significant site for visitors interested in the legacy of Buffalo Bill Cody.
