Verweyhal

The Verweyhal is a historic exhibition space located next to the Vleeshal on the Grote Markt in Haarlem. Originally built in the 19th century as a gentlemen's society, it has undergone various transformations, including serving as a bank and later as an exhibition hall for the Haarlem artist Kees Verwey. Designed by architect A.J. van Beek in the Eclectic style, the building faced criticism for its size and grandeur but has since been recognized as an official monument. Today, visitors can access the upper exhibition floors through Museum De Hallen, making it a significant cultural destination for tourists and researchers alike.
