Originally constructed in 1928 as a warehouse for the Eleto Company, it served as a major distribution hub for department stores like Lord & Taylor and James McCreery & Company. In 1930, United Parcel Service (UPS) became a key tenant, using the building as its corporate headquarters until 1964. Today, the building has transitioned to commercial and medical office space, housing NYU Langone Health's Orthopedic Center and Outpatient Surgery Center. The building's architectural design features a mix of granite, limestone, and terra-cotta, reflecting its historical significance and adaptability over the decades.
