Kharkiv Land Bank Building

The Kharkiv Land Bank Building, a stunning example of Neo-Renaissance architecture, was constructed between 1896 and 1898 by architect Oleksiy Beketov. Located in the heart of Kharkiv on Constitution Square, this two-story historical monument features intricate decorations, including pilasters, sculptures, and stained glass windows. Originally serving as a financial institution founded by Oleksiy Alchevsky, the building has a rich history, having operated until 1920 before becoming home to the Kharkiv Automobile Transport Professional College. Despite suffering damage during World War II and recent missile attacks in 2022, the building remains a significant cultural landmark, showcasing the architectural heritage of Ukraine.
