McMenamins Kennedy School (repurposed elementary school hotel and arts complex)

Kennedy School is a former 1915 Portland elementary school that McMenamins converted into a hotel, multiple restaurants/bars, a movie theater, and soaking pools. The site preserves original schoolroom features such as tiled hallways and classroom doors while adapting them to hospitality and performance uses. It opened as a McMenamins property in 1997 and is a frequently cited example of adaptive reuse in Portland.
