Conover Building

The Conover Building, also known as Wright Stop Plaza, is a historic landmark located in downtown Dayton, Ohio. Constructed in 1900, this thirteen-story structure showcases a blend of Neo-Renaissance and Neoclassical architectural styles, designed by renowned architect Frank Mills Andrews. Originally serving as a prominent office tower, it played a crucial role during the 1913 Miami River flood, providing refuge for many. Over the years, the area around the building faced challenges, but recent renovations have revitalized it, making it a key transit hub and a significant part of Dayton's skyline. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, highlighting its architectural significance and historical importance.
