John Hultquist House

The John Hultquist House, located in Swedesburg, Iowa, is a historic American Foursquare home built in 1918 by Swedish immigrant John Hultquist. After immigrating from Småland, Sweden, in 1880, Hultquist established a successful farming career before retiring to this house with his second wife, Amanda. The house reflects the traditions of early Swedish immigrants who settled in the area. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, along with a small barn that once housed livestock, making it a significant site for those interested in immigrant history and architecture.
