The House of Ramazanovs

The House of Ramazanovs is a stunning 19th-century building located in the Old City of Baku, Azerbaijan, completed in 1895 for merchant Haji Mammadkarim Ramazanov. Designed in the National Romantic style, this four-storey structure features beautiful arches, intricate stone carvings, and elements of oriental architecture. The first floor housed an electric theater, while the upper floors included shops and living quarters for the Ramazanov family. Notably, the patterned wooden balcony served as a cultural venue for 'Mugham nights,' reflecting the rich artistic heritage of the region. Today, the building stands as a testament to Baku's architectural history and cultural significance.
