Bulgur Palas

Bulgur Palas, formerly known as the Bolulu Habip Bey Mansion, is a historical mansion in Istanbul, Turkey, located on Kocamustafapaşa Hill. Originally commissioned in the early 20th century, it has a rich history tied to the trade of bulgur during World War I and has undergone various transformations, including serving as a bank archive. In 2021, it was acquired by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and has been restored as a cultural center, featuring a library, exhibition hall, and café. The mansion showcases unique architecture with red brick construction and offers visitors a glimpse into Istanbul's past, along with a collection of 25,000 books and documents. It opened to the public on February 28, 2024.
