Kurchaloy Islamic Institute

The Kurchaloy Islamic Institute, located in Kurchaloy, Chechnya, is the first Islamic higher education institution in the North Caucasus. Founded in 1988 by Nasuha-Khadzhi Akhmatov, it initially served as the North Caucasian Madrasah. The institute was officially established as a higher educational institution in 1991 and was later renamed in honor of Akhmad Kadyrov in 2004. The institute has undergone significant renovations, including the addition of new facilities, and has graduated over 700 students specializing in Islamic theology and Arabic teaching. As of 2018, it continues to educate a diverse student body, making it a key center for Islamic learning in the region.
