Scuola del Santo

The Scuola del Santo, located in Padua, Italy, serves as the historical headquarters of the Archconfraternity of St Anthony of Padua. Built in 1427 and expanded in 1504, it features remarkable frescoes by the young Titian, including his first large-scale independent works depicting miracles of St Anthony. The building consists of a church on the ground floor and a meeting room adorned with exquisite art, including a coffered ceiling and various paintings from the 15th and 16th centuries. Visitors can also see the neoclassical gravestone of Gasparo Gozzi and enjoy the view from the church's loggia, where several popes have blessed crowds over the years. The Scuola del Santo is not only a site of religious significance but also a treasure trove of Renaissance art and history.
