Trevenna

Trevenna is a historic residence located in Armidale, New South Wales, serving as the Vice-Chancellor's home for the University of New England. Built in 1892 by architect John Horbury Hunt, this three-storey house features a stunning entrance and beautifully landscaped gardens, which include a sunken garden, a clay tennis court, and a variety of mature trees. Although public access is limited, the gardens have occasionally been opened for viewing. Trevenna has a rich history, originally belonging to the prominent Wright family and later bequeathed to the university in 1960. Visitors can admire the scenic views of Armidale and Mount Duval from the grounds, making it a noteworthy site for both tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and landscape design.
