Independence Hall, site of the Declaration and Constitution

Independence Hall is the building where the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 and where the Constitutional Convention debated and signed the U.S. Constitution, completed September 17, 1787. The building is part of Independence National Historical Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Much of the preserved interior dates to the 18th century and is presented to reflect its role in those events.
