Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library - public library mission

Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library is the main branch of the Memphis Public Library system and is located at 3030 Poplar Ave. The library provides free public library services, literacy and educational programs, and access to digital resources for Memphis residents. It serves as a central hub for research, community events, and library outreach across the city. The branch is named for civil rights leader and former FCC commissioner Benjamin L. Hooks.
