Karleby Rectory

Karleby Rectory, located on the Danish island of Falster, is a historic three-winged clergy house dating back to the 18th century. The main wing, built in 1770, showcases traditional half-timbered architecture with a thatched roof, while the surrounding wings date from around 1740. Visitors can access a charming central courtyard through a gateway in the barn wing, and the property boasts a beautiful garden filled with old trees and rare plants. The rectory has a rich history, having been home to notable figures such as pastor Jakob Borch, who served as a missionary in Greenland. Listed as a protected building since 1950, the rectory offers a glimpse into Denmark's architectural heritage and pastoral life.
