Abel Hyatt House

The Abel Hyatt House is a historic 19th-century masonry home located in Swain County, North Carolina, just 3 miles east of Bryson City. Built in 1880 by farmer Abel Hyatt, this two-story brick I-house showcases the vernacular Greek Revival architectural style. It is notable for being the only known masonry house from the 19th century in the county and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. Visitors can appreciate its historical significance and scenic setting along the Tuckasegee River.
