Monon Park Dancing Pavilion

The Monon Park Dancing Pavilion, located in Cedar Lake, Indiana, is a historic dance hall built in 1897, notable for its open-air design and unique architectural features such as a gable-on-hip roof and elements of Stick style and Eastlake movement. Originally a vibrant social venue, it was transformed in 1915 by the Moody Memorial Bible Church, which enclosed and expanded the building. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981, and a restoration project began in 2013, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
