Georgetown Steam Plant

The Georgetown Steam Plant was built in 1906 as part of Seattle's early electric-power infrastructure and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It originally housed coal- and oil-fired boilers and large steam-driven generators that supplied electricity to the city. The brick-and-concrete complex is preserved as an industrial historic site and is occasionally opened for public tours and special events.
