Glide Memorial Church

Glide Memorial Church, located in the Tenderloin, has been led by Reverend Cecil Williams since 1963 and became known for integrated worship services and outspoken social activism. The church is also recognized for the Glide Memorial Church Choir, which performs gospel music and community concerts. Glide operates extensive social service programs, including meal programs and outreach initiatives serving low-income residents.
