Helsinki Court House

The Helsinki Court House, located in the Salmisaari area of Helsinki, Finland, is an architectural landmark designed by Väinö Vähäkallio. Originally built between 1937 and 1940 as the headquarters and factory for Alko, the Finnish alcohol monopoly, the building underwent a partial reconstruction in 2004 to serve as a courthouse. Its modernist design features elements reminiscent of 19th-century warehouses, characterized by its massive structure, gentle curves, and minimal detailing, highlighted by prominent strip windows and rounded entrance bays.
