Walls of Tabarca

The Walls of Tabarca, constructed in the 18th century, are a remarkable defensive structure located in the picturesque town of Tabarca, Alicante, Spain. Designed by military engineer Fernando Méndez de Ras, the wall features a unique shape that follows the island's coastline and is built from stone with an ashlar exterior. Visitors can explore its three baroque gates: San Rafael (Eastern Gate), La Trancada (Saint Gabriel Gate), and Alicante (Saint Michael Gate).
