Donahue Building

The Donahue Building is a historic landmark in downtown Davenport, Iowa, recognized for its architectural significance and rich history. Built around 1880, it originally served as a steam laundry and later became a Turkish Bath. Named after Michael Donahue, who organized the Davenport Water Company, the building has housed various businesses over the years, including the Walsh-Kahl Construction Company, known for its national railroad projects. Today, it features Boozies Bar and Grille. The building showcases a blend of Romanesque and Italian Renaissance Revival architecture, notable for its tall narrow windows and unique basement-level storefront, making it a must-visit for tourists and researchers alike.
