Ellison Building

The Ellison Building, located at the intersection of Selegie Road and Bukit Timah Road in Singapore, is a historical structure built in 1924 by Isaac Ellison, a key figure in the local Jewish community. This two-storey building features a distinctive curved façade, notable balconies, and twin cupolas, and is one of the few buildings in the area adorned with the Star of David. It serves as a testament to Singapore's pre-World War II Jewish urban community. The building has a rich history, having been frequented by colonial governors and used for commercial purposes. Although parts of the building are set to be demolished for the North-South Corridor construction, efforts are being made to preserve its heritage value, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
