Jones–Jarvis House

The Jones–Jarvis House, located in New Bern, North Carolina, is a historic Federal-style brick dwelling built around 1810. Known as General Foster's Headquarters during the Civil War, it served as the residence of Union General John G. Foster. This architectural gem features a distinctive side-hall plan and is one of the few brick Federal houses in the area, showcasing unique historical character. The house is part of a notable group of 19th-century brick homes and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Visitors can appreciate its rich history and architectural significance, as well as its connection to the invention of Pepsi-Cola by Caleb Bradham, who later occupied the house.
