Ratcheugh Observatory

Ratcheugh Observatory is a stunning late 18th-century folly located on Ratcheugh Crag in Northumberland, England. Commissioned by Hugh Percy, 1st Duke of Northumberland, this Grade 1 listed building features a castellated design with a viewing tower that offers breathtaking panoramic views of Alnwick Castle, the North Sea coast, and surrounding landscapes. Built between 1754 and 1770, it showcases the Castellated Gothick style and was influenced by the designs of Robert Adam.
