One North End Avenue

One North End Avenue, also known as the New York Mercantile Exchange Building, is a prominent office building located in the Brookfield Place complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. Overlooking the Hudson River, it serves as the headquarters for the New York Mercantile Exchange, which moved here in 1997. The building is notable for its resilience, having sustained minor damage during the September 11 attacks, after which American flags were displayed on its corners. In 2013, it was acquired by Brookfield Properties for $200 million, further integrating it into the iconic financial hub that is often referred to as the World Financial Center.
