Burklyn Hall

Burklyn Hall is a stunning historic estate located on Darling Hill Road, straddling the towns of Burke and Lyndon in Vermont. Built in the early 1900s for Elmer Darling, a successful hotelier, this Colonial Revival house is one of the largest and most opulent in the state. The estate features a grand three-story structure with a striking Greek temple facade, lavish interiors with intricate woodwork, and beautifully landscaped gardens. Originally part of a sprawling 1,400-acre estate, Burklyn Hall offers a glimpse into early 20th-century luxury and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It also served as a dormitory for Lyndon College in the mid-20th century, adding to its rich history.
