Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill

Coit Tower was funded by a bequest from Lillie Hitchcock Coit and was dedicated in 1933 atop Telegraph Hill. The interior contains New Deal-era murals painted in 1934 by artists participating in the Public Works of Art Project. The tower is a prominent Telegraph Hill landmark and offers panoramic views of the city and bay.
